Originally from Malaysia, Lena Seow currently lives in Boerum Hill with her son where she has owned a townhouse for the past 7 years. Before coming to New York she attended Vanderbilt University on a Rockefeller Foundation scholarship.
In 1992 she joined Urban Ventures, Inc. a relocation company and later founded her own firm, assisting a primarily European and far eastern clientele who were relocating to New York. She is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, Hakka & Malay. Lena joined Brown Harris Stevens in 2005, teaming up with Phyllis Norton-Towers as a sales specialist. Together they provide over 3 decades of expertise in Brooklyns historic landmark neighborhoods.
With business skills and real estate experience gained as the owner of a highly service oriented relocation firm and the hands on experience of a landlord and resident in a multifamily townhouse, Lena is uniquely qualified to guide both buyers and sellers through the complexities of home ownership. Having lived through a number of townhouse construction and renovation projects, she is able to share both her practical experience with historic restoration and her insights on living through the process.
As the mother of a school age child, she is quite familiar with both public and private schools in the neighborhood as well as local child related services. She has managed a cooperative nursery school—one among many local charities with which she is active.
