Charles has always been fascinated by real estate so naturally what began as a much loved hobby has now become an extremely fulfilling career. Encouraged by several well respected brokers in New York City and The Hamptons, Charles joined Brown Harris Stevens in 2004 and in approximately three years has become a top broker at the firm. In 2006 he was awarded "Rookie of the Year" and in 2007 he was named Brown Harris Stevens' Brooklyn Townhouse Broker of the Year, Listing Broker of the Year- Park Slope and Broker of the Year- Park Slope. In 2008, he was once again the top broker in the Park Slope office and the Townhouse Broker of the Year for the Brooklyn market. He has been quoted by the New York Times as a specialist in high-end Brooklyn real estate and has been from his inception in the business in 2006 the firm's top listing and selling broker of townhouses and brownstones in Brooklyn's best neighborhoods with over twenty-five (25) such transactions to his credit. As a former insurance broker specializing in work with investment bankers and other business professionals on matters relating to mergers and acquisitions and large corporate divestures, he is able to draw upon his excellent sales and marketing skills while approaching his work from the perspective of a former customer. Charles makes certain he is involved in all aspects of the transaction and consults with townhouse sellers to determine the most effective marketing strategy including proper pricing, market evaluation and most importantly working with his colleagues at the firm and with other participating companies to maximize the property's exposure. Charles often brings in a trusted team of stagers, carpenters, painters and landscapers to increase the property's marketability. He will also arrange for the appraisal and consignment of furnishings with Christie's and other reputable auction houses. It is part of the complete selling experience that makes Charles uniquely different from other listing brokers. He is often asked to lend his professional advice and guidance to townhouse buyers who are either unfamiliar with the market or, who are seeking assistance with the due diligence aspects of their purchase. His goal is to achieve the highest selling price for his sellers and broker the best deal for his buyers whatever the market conditions.
