Since childhood I have been intrigued by the power of words; their value as tools, the malleability of meaning easily altered by context, at times misconstrued due to circumstances. In college this passion led me to concentrate on writing and languages: English, Spanish, French and Italian.
After working as a bilingual liaison for an elementary school in a high needs Boston community, I moved to New York. Not surprisingly, my skills served me well communicating and negotiating with top retailers in this international business center, as a VP of Marketing and Sales for some of the most influential fashion designers of our time and subsequently in New York real estate, where these communication skills allow me to service the needs of a broad cross section of New Yorkers, Europeans and other international buyers. I am fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, and can speak and read idiomatic French.
Listening and absorbing information in order to target the most receptive consumer for a particular product and vice versa, is basic to any successful buying/selling transaction and I learned well in an industry where being able to anticipate and fulfill the consumer's wants, needs (and even whims), is essential. My extensive experience in sales and marketing and my ability to communicate with people from different cultures and walks of life has provided a broad background of sales success as well as an ample and diverse referral base.
Being a long time resident of Brooklyn Heights, I have a thorough knowledge of landmark Brooklyn neighborhoods and their many attractions. Additionally and perhaps more importantly, I too have experienced all the anxiety and apprehension of a first time buyer and the complexities of the co-op application and approval process. I assure you, as a happy owner of a lovely apartment in a charming Pre-War co-op, that it was all worth it.
